Home Care

CAI specializes in designing unique services to custom fit the needs of its clients.  If you do not see the specific service you are looking for, please call to discuss your needs.  We will make every effort to assist you and maximize your resources.

CAI's home care is a variety of support services designed to help maintain health or support long term care decisions.  Home care services range from minimal occasional help to dependent care around the clock.

Home care services generally fall into the categories of skilled care, hospice care, and private duty or custodial non-medical care.

CAI provides private duty non-medical custodial services that are focused on personal care (i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, medication set up, physical transferring, health monitoring, etc.)  and basic activities of daily living (i.e. shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, assistance with pets).  All services are delivered under the direction of a member of the case management team, which consists of a Service Coordinator, Registered Nurse Supervisor, and Social Worker.

When health or hospice need present, CAI will recommend obtaining a skilled care assessment.  Skilled care is given under the general direction of a physician and consists of specific short-term medical services.  Services are commonly delivered following hospitalization or discharge from a rehabilitation facility.  Skilled care services are typically delivered by nurses, physician's assistants, certified nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, etc.  To qualify for insurance reimbursement, specific health and functional criteria is required.

CAI supports the delivery of skilled care services by co-sharing cases and providing the private duty or custodial services not allowed under insurance or the skill care assignment.

CAI's support services can also be purchased to supplement the care delivered in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and long term care facilities.  Such arrangements can enhance the patient's quality of life and provide relief to a family that is unable to maintain weekly personal contact.
